The calendar may say Christmas is over. We disagree.
Between Christmas and New Year, time behaves strangely. The presents have been opened, the fridge is still full, it gets dark far too early, and nobody quite knows what day it is. So, rather than waiting around for New Year’s Eve, we are extending Christmas for another four days at the AKS campsite in Anykščiai.
The camp is open to young people aged 11–17. We will live together, play games, talk, watch films, create activities, head out on a night hike and allow a reasonable amount of Christmas chaos to unfold.
English will be the language of everyday camp life. It is not a separate lesson: we will use it while getting to know one another, discussing ideas, organising activities, sharing stories and working out who has once again left their mug in the wrong place.
You do not need to arrive ready to be the loudest person in the room. Some participants join in immediately; others prefer to look around first. Both are completely normal at AKS.
One important practical detail: because it will be winter, we will sleep indoors rather than in tents. This is good news for everyone’s toes, but it also means that places are limited.
Around 40 people fit comfortably across the campsite buildings. If we really, really try, we can accommodate 45, although the walls do not become wider through enthusiasm alone. Early registration is therefore strongly recommended.

Price
Early bird price 100 EUR, after Dec 13 - 120 EUR, meals included.
Arrival
Participants arrange their own transport to the campsite. If you do not have a lift, contact us and we will try to match you with another participant’s car. We cannot guarantee that a suitable seat will be available, but carless campers and empty car seats usually manage to find one another.
Accommodation
We will stay at AKS Campsite 2 in heated buildings with indoor toilets, hot water and electricity. Nobody will be required to prove their winter survival skills.
Participants need to bring their own sleeping equipment: a mattress, sleeping bag or duvet. We also recommend several pairs of warm socks and a hat.
It will be warm indoors, but some activities will take place outside, and Lithuanian winter rarely adjusts itself to our comfort preferences. Please bring suitable warm and waterproof clothing.
Participants sleep in several separate areas. At least two camp leaders stay overnight in each sleeping area.
What to bring
As this is a Christmas-themed camp, festive decorations are welcome: tinsel, Christmas hats, seasonal socks, snowflakes, fairy lights or anything else that has not yet fulfilled its purpose by the end of December.
You may arrive dressed as Father Christmas. You may bring one Christmas sock. You may bring nothing festive at all. We do not award points for decoration density.

After registering, please pay a non-refundable €20 deposit. Your place is confirmed only once we have received the deposit and added you to the participant list. Completing the registration form alone does not reserve a place.
During the final week before camp, we will send you the Camp Agreement, Parent Consent Form, Camp Rules, packing list and directions to the campsite. Signed documents may be emailed to us in advance or brought to camp.
The remaining balance may be paid by bank transfer before camp or in cash upon arrival.
You may also pay the full amount together with the deposit. Please use “ANY CHR” as the payment reference.
Questions are welcome by phone, message or email — particularly those beginning with, “My child really wants to come, but…”
